No, KBK is not a club. Knights Building Knights is a non-profit organization that originated as a school-based social justice initiative. It is now a community-based organization that supports students throughout the Charlotte region through programming and school chapters.

Male students who identify as Black/African American are eligible to apply to KBK cohorts.

While there is no GPA requirement to be considered during the KBK application process, KBK scholars are required to maintain a 2.5 GPA each semester to avoid academic probation.

If your school has a chapter of KBK, you will join that cohort of students. If your school does not yet have a chapter, you are still able to join as a general member.

Students interested in KBK must first apply during the application period. The selection committee then selects students who are invited to the final round interview.

The participation fee for KBK is $500 for the academic year. This fee covers scholar uniforms, program materials, and social events.This fee is typically supplemented by scholar fundraising efforts.
